WILL-MARIAH CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

"Teaching God's Children - Generation Upon Generation"
2687 Klondike Road - Lithonia, Georgia 30058 - 770.484.9660

Admission
  The Will-Mariah Christian School is an evangelical, nondenominational, nonprofit elementary school ministry accepting boys and girls from four years of age through 4th grade without regard to race, color or national origin.  Candidates for kindergarten through fourth grade must successfully complete entrance tests and interviews required for admission.  The school reserves the right to deny admission to any student not meeting the standards of the school.  New students are accepted throughout the year on a space available basis.

Philosophy
  The educational process in a Christian School is dependent upon a Biblical foundation which provides the right world view and essential truths for life so that children may be prepared to assume their proper place in the home, the church and the state.  Accordingly, the philosophy of education for the Will-Mariah Christian School is as follows:

Christian Education is a Bible-based teaching-learning process that seeks to guide individuals of all levels of growth, through contemporary teaching means toward knowing and experiencing God's purpose and plan in every aspect of living, and to equip them for effective ministry through Christ.

Scriptural Foundation
  Psalms 78:1-7
1
O my people, hear my teaching;
listen to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter hidden things, things from of old-
3 what we have heard and known,
what our fathers have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their children;
we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD ,
his power, and the wonders he has done.

5 He decreed statutes for Jacob
and established the law in Israel,
which he commanded our forefathers
to teach their children,
6 so the next generation would know them,
even the children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children.
7 Then they would put their trust in God
and would not forget his deeds
but would keep his commands. (NIV)

Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God.  (II Timothy 3:15; II Peter 1:21)

2. We believe there is one God, eternally existent as the triune God-head, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30)

3. We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 6:19); His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).

4. We believe in the regeneration (new birth) by the Holy Spirit unto salvation, and that we are justified on the single ground of faith in the atoning and vicarious shedding of blood by the Lord Jesus Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith, we are saved. (John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).
